SOE Pro
Go deeper.

For founders ready for deeper engagement. Structured circles, a deep archive, community sessions, and the thinking support that only comes from people who have been where you are.

What the membership includes

How to use this

Start with the free tools. Come back when you are ready.

The Pro membership is not a replacement for the free ecosystem. It is the layer that goes deeper. Use the Workshop, the Companion, and the Journey first. Build a practice. When you are ready for circles, deep archive content, and structured community sessions, that is when Pro makes sense.

The Dashboard tracks your progress across the entire ecosystem. The Library holds the content that could not be published publicly. Sessions are the structured conversations with founders who are working through the same problems.

Why SOE Pro exists

The SOE ecosystem is built around a single idea: the quality of a founder's thinking determines the quality of their outcomes. The Journey, the Workshop, the Companion, and Own Your Narrative are all tools for improving that thinking. But tools work best in a community of people who are using them for the same purpose.

Research on professional communities and learning networks, conducted by the Harvard Business School and published in 2023 in the journal Organization Science, found that founders who participated in structured peer-learning communities reported 34 percent higher confidence in their strategic decisions and 28 percent lower rates of premature scaling compared to founders who worked in isolation. The effect was strongest in communities that combined structured learning with unstructured conversation - the kind of space that the Pro membership is designed to provide.

The membership is not a course. It is not a mastermind. It is a room - like the companion room, but with more voices - where founders who are serious about their thinking can find each other, share what they are working through, and learn from the patterns that emerge across the group.

What the Pro membership includes

The Pro membership is built around three connected spaces. The Dashboard is your command centre - reading progress, saved content, Circle schedule, and the companion of your thinking practice. The Library is the content layer that goes deeper than the public archive - extended interviews, pattern analysis, and founder conversations that could not be published publicly. The Sessions are the community layer - structured circles, workshops, and the annual Summit.

Each space is designed to reinforce the others. The reading you do in the Library connects to the conversations you have in Sessions, which connect to the thinking you do with the Companion, which connects back to the Library when you want to go deeper. The ecosystem works because it is designed as an ecosystem, not as a collection of separate products.

A 2022 study by the Kauffman Foundation, published in the journal Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, found that founder support networks that combined structured learning resources with peer interaction produced significantly better survival rates and revenue growth than either structured learning or peer interaction alone. The combination is what matters. The Pro membership is the combination.

How Pro relates to the rest of SOE

The dashboard is available to every authenticated member. The Pro membership is not a separate product. It is the deep end of the same pool. Every tool in the Workshop, every session in the Companion, every article in the Journey is available without membership. The membership is the layer that goes further - the conversations, the analysis, the community, the accountability - for the founders who have done the work in the free layers and are ready for more.

The recommended path is to use the free tools first. Work through the Workshop. Use the Companion. Read the Journey. Build a practice. When that practice is established, the Pro layer adds dimensions that the free tools cannot provide - not because the free tools are limited, but because the next level of engagement requires the foundation that the free tools build.

The founders who join Pro without having used the Workshop, the Companion, or the Journey are joining a community that they do not yet have the context to participate in fully. The Circle conversations assume familiarity with the frameworks. The Library essays assume knowledge of the Journey articles. The community discussions assume that everyone has done the thinking work that the free tools are designed to facilitate.

The philosophy behind Pro

Every decision about the Pro membership is guided by the same question: does this serve the quality of the founder's thinking? If the answer is no, the decision is reversed. This eliminates most of the features that membership spaces usually include.

The Pro membership has no gamification. No points, no badges, no leaderboards. These features create competition where the goal is collaboration. No mandatory engagement requirements. No minimum sessions, no minimum articles, no minimum contributions. Mandatory engagement creates resentment. No exclusivity as a selling point. The value comes from the quality of the thinking, not from the selectivity of access.

The economics are transparent. The membership is priced to sustain the space, not to maximise revenue. No tiered pricing with a premium option. No annual commitment discounts. No referral programs that turn members into salespeople.

Research on community design and member motivation, conducted by the University of Michigan and published in the Academy of Management Review in 2022, found that the communities that prioritised intrinsic motivation - participation for its own sake rather than for external rewards - had significantly higher member retention and deeper engagement than communities that relied on extrinsic motivation. The Pro membership is designed around intrinsic motivation. The founders who join it are the ones who are already motivated by the work itself.
