Sessions
Live and recorded sessions with founders. Not webinars. Not courses. Real conversations about real problems - the kind that only happen when founders talk to founders.
The learning format the founder ecosystem gets wrong
The founder ecosystem is full of learning formats, and most of them were designed for audiences, not for founders. The webinar is a lecture delivered to a passive audience. The course is a curriculum designed to teach a skill. The mastermind is a structured accountability group with an agenda. All of these formats share the same flaw: they treat the founder as a recipient of knowledge rather than as a participant in a conversation. The founders who consume these formats learn things, but they do not develop the conversational intelligence that comes from talking through problems with other founders who are facing the same challenges.
The SOE Pro Sessions are designed differently. They are not webinars. They are not courses. They are conversations - structured dialogues between founders who are working through real problems, facilitated by someone who understands the founder context. The format is simple: a founder brings a problem, a group of peers responds with their experience and perspective, and the conversation unfolds organically. The output is not a lesson plan. It is a shared understanding of a problem, a set of perspectives that the individual founder could not have reached alone, and the clarity that comes from hearing your own problem articulated by someone who has faced it.
Two formats: live and recorded
The Sessions are offered in two formats. The live sessions are the primary format - small groups of founders meeting at a scheduled time for a focused conversation. The live format creates the conditions for honest contribution: the temporal commitment signals seriousness, the small group creates safety, the synchronous presence creates accountability. The founders who attend live sessions consistently report that the depth of the conversation is qualitatively different from anything they have experienced in a webinar or a course. The live session is not content delivery. It is shared thinking.
The recorded sessions extend the reach of the conversation. Not every founder can attend a live session - time zones, schedules, and the demands of running a business make this impossible. The recorded sessions capture the best of the live conversations and make them available to the entire Pro community. But the recorded sessions are not passive content. Each recording is accompanied by a structured set of prompts - questions that the founder can use to apply the conversation to their own situation. The recording is not the product. The conversation is. The recording is the way that more founders can participate in the conversation even when they cannot be there in person.
The topics and the progression
The Sessions are organised around the same structure as the Playroom - the twelve categories that map to the founder's journey. Each category has a set of sessions that address the specific problems that founders face in that domain. The fundraising sessions address the questions that come up when the founder is raising capital. The co-founder sessions address the dynamics that emerge when two or more people are building together. The product sessions address the uncertainty of finding product-market fit. The progression is not linear. The founder does not need to attend the fundraising sessions before the product sessions. Each session stands alone, because each session addresses a real problem that a founder is facing right now.
The Sessions also include special series - focused sequences of conversations around a specific theme. The "Founding Conversations" series brings together founders who are in the earliest stages of their journey to talk about the decisions that define the company's direction. The "Scaling Conversations" series brings together founders who have found product-market fit and are navigating the challenges of growth. The "Transitions" series brings together founders who are facing a major transition - a pivot, a leadership change, an exit. Each series is structured around the real problems that founders face at that stage, and each session in the series builds on the previous one to create a coherent, progressive conversation.
